Streaming Video and Slide Show Examples
Using QuickTime, Flash and Real Player

We author our online video in Real Video and QuickTime. Due to their dominant use and cross-platform players. Get your Free Real Player here If you need to upgrade your Real player, click on the Free player icon and you'll go to real.com and be guided through an easy process. If you have an earlier G2 player, your upgrade should be automatic. Movies may be viewed on PC's as well as Mac's with equal quality of picture and sound.

Most of these examples of web video are made to be viewed via a typical 56k dial-up modem for small business customers, and homes.

With broadband dropping in price for home and offices we are now offering much higher quality with QuickTime and Flash for these DSL and Cable users. To get the latest Quicktime player click the QuickTime icon.
For Flash, click on the logo at right to go to macromedia for their latest
plug-in.

We offer on-demand streaming video  at a fraction of traditional production costs. We can develop a commercial for your business or event that is available to promote your product 24-7 in the most cost effective form of advertising - The Internet and Web Video!

Why pay for the cost of duplication of VHS tapes or CD's when streaming from your website can now offer better than VHS quality. We can author your video for the web from your own shots or we can shoot the product edit it and prep it for the web utilizing no specialty web servers.

Streaming Video:

Our example demonstrates several of the dos and don'ts of web video and their effect on picture quality. For example in the first half of the video, the constant movement of the boat and the use of a spiraling transition effect reduces picture quality verses the clarity of the second half. Made for low bandwidth modem dial-up using Real Player.

Here is a typical stationary head shot introduction type video. This site offers quite a lot of video of a spiritual nature that provide a unique viewing experience made for low bandwidth modem dial-up using Real Player®.

Also here is a link to the home page of Wings of Prayer Ministry where you can then navigate to see the other videos converted for low bandwidth web use.

Here is a clip from a video project we are editing for a DVD of Winter Park Florida's chain of lakes connected by beautiful canals. This is a short clip we made in Quicktime for Broadband use. Either DSL or Cable.

Streaming Side Shows:

Here is a link to a recent small photography site (Terri Warren Photography) we produced featuring two slideshows in Flash with soft transitions and music (using large photos).

Click HERE for a 3 minute demo using Real Player..
A streaming side show can promote products, civic events, as well as provide a platform for multiple companies to band together and share the investment in development of this form of media.
For example, a city can provide a tour of many of their points of interest while featuring various companies that "buy-in" to the promotional experience. A specialty store wishes to promote an item that requires a close up with great clarity, or pictures of people and products that Internet bandwidth would normally prohibit.
Here is a unique platform.
Streaming slide shows can provide solutions and showcase goods and services unmatched in other mediums.

Real World Note!
(Progressive download via http servers is what we actually use for cost effective use for small business).

The Real Player® videos are viewable with a dial-up 56K modem and an actual dial-up connection speed of at least 40Kbps utilizing at least a 266mhz processor PC or Mac. If your capability is less than stated you still can view the movies however the audio & video will pause and "buffer" (download temporarily to your drive) and start again once enough data has arrived.

Flash® products we have found require a 266mhz (450 or greater preferred) for best viewing. Due to the incorporation of Flash plug-ins with current operating systems, downloading them usually isn't necessary anymore. If needed, they are available at macromedia's website available here.

The broadband Quicktime® Movie require DSL or Cable/T1 connections for smooth playback. They are viewable on both PC and Mac with equal clarity and performance. We don't author in Quicktime for low bandwidth applications because Real Player outperforms in this area, however Quicktime at High Bandwidth utilizing the latest Sorenson™ codec's outperform all of them.

We usually do not recomend authoring in Windows Media 9 because of the lack of cross platform play ability
(see we use both PC's and Mac's) for a broad audience unless specifically requested by our client even though it makes great video.
